Jameson
Ponche
10 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
500-gram guavas
250-gram prunes
250-gram tejocotes
4 sugar cane sticks
3 cinnamon sticks
750 gram of sugar
5 liters of water
Method:
Perfectly wash all the fruit. Cut the guavas in quarters and the sugar canes in slim portions. Add the water with the sugar and cinnamon in a pot at medium heat. Once it starts to boil, add the sugar cane. Let it boil for 10 minutes to add the guava and the prunes. Boil until the guavas and tejocotes cook without breaking apart. Add the hot Ponche to a deep serving bowl. Add Jameson whiskey and stir well. Divide the Ponche into 12 heat-proof serving glasses.
